WELCOME TO CASA CERI

Relax and Savour Nature

Our B&B is in a stunning mountain landscape in the UNESCO Park of the Apuane Alps Tuscany, with breathtaking views of mountain and sea. A period house on the edge of the traffic-free Tuscan village of Casoli dating from before the year 1000. A village with a unique story of art and artists, of sculptors and poets, writers and photographers resident in an intensely creative forty year period from the 1950’s who left their mark on several tastefully restored houses’.

Casa Ceri is one of these. Today international artists and sculptors mix with local residents in the village caffè and restaurants. Casa Ceri B&B, offers a touch of luxury in a period building where the past blends harmoniously with modern comfort: a taste of the Tuscan lifestyle of its resident owners whose love of the ‘antiqueness’ of things, of art, music,  books and beautiful objects; of peace, uninterrupted breathtaking views and of Tuscan food, local organic ingredients and cooking, welcomes like-minded guests.

Perfect for anyone seeking old-fashioned hospitality, tranquility, mountain hiking rewarded with outstanding views to the Tirannean coast 15km away, while experiencing the advantages of a hidden corner of Tuscany within close distance of the sea, of Lucca,Pisa, the Cinque Terre, Pietra Santa, Forte dei Marmi, Carrara marble quarries, and Florence. Casa Ceri, by the way, is a reference to Marco and his Florentine family heritage. His coat of arms represents a winged leopard holding two tall wax candles. The family was the official candle maker to the Medici family in Florence in the 1500’s. His family name Ceri, derives from Cera (wax). 500 years ago candles were called Cera.
